Akshay Kumar gained humongous appreciation from critics and fans after the release of ‘Padman’, and now the actor is all set to roar again with his upcoming flick ‘Gold’. Many people thought Akshay is playing a role of a coach in the film but the actor cleared the air and said he is playing a role of a team manager. In and interview with Bollywood Hungama Akshay Kumar wished that Shah Rukh Khan’s character Kabir Khan of Chak De! India was there in Gold as a coach.
Gold and Chak De! India are often getting compared, as both the movie are based on the same sport. Akshay Kumar was asked about Kabir Khan, the lead character of Chak De! India, if he meets him in real life, “I wish he was there in Gold to coach because I am not playing the coach. I am a manager. It would’ve been great to see Kabir Khan and Tapan Das”, the actor said.
Well, come to think of it, it would’ve been great to see Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar share screen space in a film once again after 1997 blockbuster Dil To Pagal Hai.
