Women’s Polytechnic College organises alumni meet

Remembering the good old college days, the old friends reunited and enjoyed their meet after so many years. The Alumni Meet of Women’s Polytechnic College was organised here on Sunday.

The students of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Government Women Polytechnic College of 2011 to 2018 batches met each other and had a lot of fun together. The engineers and CS professionals, some housewives and some entrepreneurs who shared a colourful college life, talked about their experiences about the studies and post-professional life during the diploma. Former students said that the days spent in polytechnic are among the finest days of their life. Along with this, the students showed their gratitude towards all their teachers and said that whatever they are today is due to their colleges and teachers.

The teachers here supported in studies and other activities were very memorable and commendable. Apart from this, the former students also expressed happiness over the fact that advanced facilities are now being provided to the girl students in the college.

They also thanked Principal K.V. Rao for this initiative and bringing all old college friends together once again.

After the formal programme, the girls danced enthusiastically with their old college friends and rejuvenated the old memories. Department head Pooja Manganani said that this was the first reunion of the students of this department. Therefore, it was also decided that from now this reunion will be held every year. She also said that apart from this, other girl students posted in different companies and cities will also be linked to this alumni and a support system will be developed for junior students. During the alumni meet, all the students promised to help out their juniors and newcomers for their studies too.
