Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Proves Too Much To Handle At A Drag Race

Some of you may know Richard Rawlings from Discovery Channel’s ‘Fast N’ Loud’ show, others from the Gas Money Garage or different businesses.

But regardless where you know him from, one thing’s very certain: Mr. Rawlings had a very bad experience behind the wheel of a Challenger SRT Hellcat.

His latest stunt took him to the drag strip a few days ago, at the Roadkill Nights Celebrity Drag Race, where he jumped inside the Dodge. Everything was going smooth until the 49-year old decided to unleash the entire 707hp produced by the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 of the Hellcat straight from a burnout.

Next thing he knew, the Hellcat hit the concrete barrier wall on the left side, and the only thing that kept it from flying over was the low speed. Luckily, nobody was injured and the car seems to have only suffered minor damages.

The accident didn’t seem to have affected Rawlings’ confidence, who talked about it briefly in front of the camera, joking about it.

As for his challenger, who was driving the other Hellcat, this was Leah Pritchett, a professional drag racer who normally races an NHRA Top Fuel dragster for Don Schumacher Racing.
