400 saplings planted in ecological park

Minister for Forest Gourishankar Shejwar inaugurated ‘Dampatti Van Mahotsav’ by planting sapling of banyan tree in Ecological Park located at Katara Hills here on sunday.

The Additional Chief Secretary Forest KK Singh, Chief Conservator of Forest and Head of Forest Force Manoj Kumar Sapra along with Senior Forest Officers and their families planted saplings on this occasion.

Shejwar said that plantation is must for environment conservation. Besides this, attention should be paid on safety of saplings. He also dedicated various works carried out in the campus under the Nagar Van.

The Forest Minister has informed that the Forest Department and Forest Development Corporation have achieved the target of plantation of 7 crore saplings in the current year. Under this, a total of 4.75 crore saplings have been planted in Narmada basin.

With the efforts made by the Forest Department in the area developed as Nagar Van, greenery could be seen in all the directions. Public has become aware of the health, this place is ideal for them.

Ayurvedic medicines are being made available for people in the Arogyam Kendra set up here. Amusement cum Fitness Center has been established in the campus. Similarly, acupressure path, path for walk besides garden and a small waterfall too has been made in the campus.

About 400 saplings were planted in the ecological park on Sunday under the ‘Dampatti Van Mahotsav’. Villagers in large number were present on the occasion.
