Senior Congress leader and communications in-charge of Indian National Congress, Randeep Singh Surjewala  on Sunday said the INLD and the BJP are hands in glove and Chautala’s support to the BJP in various elections has exposed the INLD as a ‘B’ team of the BJP.  Surjewala while addressing ‘Jan Chetna Rally’ at Babain in district Kurukshetra on Sunday said the BJP and the INLD leaders speak against each other but they are working to deceive the people of the State.

He reminded that the INLD has been extending unconditional support to the Centre and the INLD also stood-up with BJP in various elections like President, Vice- President and Deputy Speaker.

“They are only concerned about saving themselves and have no concern for the people at large. The INLD could not dare to oppose the BJP in ‘No Confidence Motion’ in Parliament and absconded from House and abstained from voting,” Congress leader said.

Surjewala, an MLA from Kaithal assembly constituency also lashed out at both the Union and Haryana Governments of the BJP, asserting that they have failed on all fronts and no section of the society was happy with their performance.

He accused the BJP of betraying farmers, youth and poor sections by not honouring its pre-poll promises of providing 50 per cent profit on their farm production costs for their produces, two crore jobs to youth, bringing back ‘80 lakh crore rupees black money’ and putting Rs 15 lakh in each bank account. “The people have made up their mind to teach a befitting lesson to BJP in the next polls,” he further added.

Criticising the BJP Government for not waiving farm loans despite the farmers’ distress, Surjewala also asked the logic for writing off huge amount of loans for a few select industrialists, but not being bothered about the crores of distressed farmers. “The BJP Government imposed huge taxes on farmers, thereby increasing farm costs. Fertilisers, pesticides and farm implements earlier attracted zero per cent tax in most states but under the GST, the BJP Government imposed huge taxes,” he added.
