War of words between Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Chief Bhupesh Baghel was witnessed on Sunday over recent statement of All India Congress Committee Chief Rahul Gandhi during his visit to the State. Rahul was in Raipur to dedicate the new Congress party office building.

Taking a jibe over the statement of Gandhi that the State Government should have purchased the smart phones under Sanchar Kranti Yojana (SKY) from Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), the Chief Minister during a programme on Skill Development here said, “The general knowledge of a national leader like him must have to be upgraded. We are investigating whether the BHEL is going to move ahead for smart phone production.” h

“Skill training of such persons (Rahul) was desperately needed and I (Raman) will ask the Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to accord training to him too”, he said.

The jibe however incensed CGPCC Chief who in a sharp reaction stated that the skill up-gradation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is necessary instead of Rahul. PM too had once wrongly in his speech mentioned Takshshila like Nalanda was in Bihar. Apart from it, he also cites incorrect examples of history of India and makes false statements about death of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, founder of Jan Sangh, Baghel said.

“Actually, the Chief Minister and the entire Bharatiya Janata Party is annoyed over the corruption charges levelled by the AICC Chief during his visit. Thus, they are making such statements”, Baghel said adding that the mastery in skill of corruption was with the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister.
