RSS chief today urged youth to muster courage to tread the path shown by great people, instead of confining themselves to observing their birth and death anniversaries.
"The birth and death anniversaries of great people are celebrated with great enthusiasm. There is also an effort to ensure that one does not tread on the path shown by them.
It is like people wishing Chhatrapati Shivaji was born again but not in their families, as none loves to have martyrs," he said at the launch of a book 'Nirmalya' in Kannada.
The book, authored by Chandrashekhar Bhandari, is a biography of RSS ideologue Na Krishnappa, who passed away in 2015.
Calling Krishnappa a great man who lived a simple life, Bhagwat said he was never affected by ego. He was one who devoted his entire life for the nation and society, the RSS chief said.
