Ladies spread message of women empowerment

Pune: With an aim of spreading the message of women empowerment, six women who are employees of the Federal Bank are taking part in a national expedition riding on their Bullets from Kochi to New Delhi.

On their way to the national capital, the group of ladies halted in Pune where they were felicitated by the Federal Bank Pune branch.

“The ride is all about showcasing women power to the society. On every stopover, these ladies are spreading the message of women empowerment. India is progressing but there is still need of spreading the message on gender equality and we as a bank are eager to make this society equal for all,” said Sonny Chiriyankandath, Deputy Vice President and Regional Head of Federal Bank Pune region.

The expedition was flagged off on August 1 from Kochi and the riders are expected to reach New Delhi on August 20.
