Subhash hostel inmates clashed on late Friday night after one objected over loud music and disturbance during a birthday celebration party of an inmate.

The birthday celebrations took an ugly turn when after partying till late, allegedly drunk hostellers shut down the light of entire hostel following which a group of BPEd first year student, who had been studying, objected. Soon, a heated argument started between the two groups.
The group of partying hostellers abused and pushed four BPEd first year students against the wall and hit them with rods and belts. I have directed the proctorial board to strengthen the disciplinary team and distribute duties and responsibilities among members on the basis of days and hostels,” said
LU vicechancellor S P Singh.
The board has also been told to develop a card system that will decide the punishment for indiscipline, like a red card for fight, blue for damaging university property etc. A student getting a red card thrice will face expulsion, he added.
