Historical day for Rajnandgaon district: Raman

Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) is opening new avenues of employment for the youth. Such BPO would have been dreamt of in Metro-cities. Now smaller towns are operating such centres, said Chief Minister Raman Singh.

He was dedicating the ‘Arohan’ first BPO centre in village Tedesara of Rajnandgaon district. He said that now district youth to work in BPO would not have to go to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Chennai like cities. Their desire to work in the BPO would be fulfilled in the Rajnandgaon itself.

Chief Minister, further, said that it is an historical day for Rajnandgaon District, when youth have got BPO armed with all modern facilities.

He said that meaning of ‘Arohan’ is to move ahead. The youth through practical work would build his personal capacity. State Government would be extending all the assistance to make an identity at the national level. The youth working in the B.P.O would be imparted training in spoken English, this would provide them the experience to work at international level.

Raman stated that major companies over the world would be coming so that it would open new employment avenues and better chances. In near future major companies would be extended invitation for Rajnandgaon, he added.

Chief Minister revealed that the BPO has been started taking the assistance of a multi-national company based in Canada. The company CEO is Dr Shrinubabu Gedela who had met him at New Delhi. An invitation was extended to him to visit Chhattisgarh. Dr Gedela hails from a small village and has reached the post of CEO in multinational company. He motivated the youth saying that like Dr Gedela they can also build their capabilities and eligibility to achieve success in life.

CM said that in Bastar revenue division, districts of Dantewada and Bijapur through BPO local youth are being provided employment. Recently, President of India Ram Nath Kovind, during his visit to Chhattisgarh has visited the BPO and appreciated the working. He had also interaction with the youth working there.

Rajnandgaon collector Bheem Singh briefed in detail about the BPO. He said through the centre, youth are being trained for BPO so that they can develop it as a skill.

‘Arohan’ BPO is spread over 10,000 square feet campus with all modern facilities. In primary stage, around 300 youth would be employed. Then it would be raised to 500 and then to 1000.

Panchayat and Rural development minister Ajay Chandrakar, Rajnandgaon Member of Parliament Abhishek Singh, among other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
