16-year-old killed after car strikes pedestrians in Great Southern
16-year-old girl has died in WA's Great Southern region early this morning after being struck by a car she was while walking with a group of people.
About 1.30am a vehicle travelling along Davis Road in Monjingup, about nine kilometres north of Esperance, struck the group of pedestrians.
The girl received critical injuries and was taken to the Esperance Hospital where she later died.
A 19-year-old man was assisting police with their inquiries and major crash officers were investigating if speed was a factor in the crash.
