Mumbai : The Central Railways and Western Railways will conduct a mega block on their respective suburban sections to carry out maintenance work on Sunday.
Down Harbour line services from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Panvel, Belapur and Vashi will be suspended from 10.21am to 3.41 pm. However, special local trains will run on CSMT, Kurla, Vashi and Panvel sections during the block period. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Trans-Harbour / Main Line from 10am to 4.30pm on Sunday.
To carry out maintenance work on tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a jumbo block will be carried out on the Up and Down slow lines between Churchgate and Mumbai Central from 10.35am to 3.35pm.
During the block period, all slow line trains will be operated on the fast line between Churchgate and Mumbai Central. Due to this, some Up and Down suburban trains will remain cancelled.
Harbour line services between Kurla and Vashi will remain suspended from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. Services from CSMT to Panvel, Belapur and Vashi will remain suspended from 10.34 am to 3.39 pm, while services from Panvel, Belapur and Vashi to CSMT will remain suspended from 10.21 am to 3.41 pm. Services from Churchgate to Mumbai Central will remain suspended from 10.35am to 3.35pm.
