Tired Of Tahoes? Mercedes G500 By Brabus Would Look Great In A Black-Ops Flick

Earlier this week Brabus treated us to the Smart ForTwo-based 125R, and now they have moved to the opposite site of Daimler’s spectrum: the all-new Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

The version chosen is a G500, which packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with 421PS (415hp / 310kW) and 609Nm (449lb-ft) of torque.

Thanks to the tuner’s plug-and-play module adapted to the ECU, the output has gone up to 500PS (493hp / 368kW) and 710Nm (524lb-ft) of torque. Brabus says the muscled up G500 sprints to 100km/h (62mph) in 5.7sec, while top speed remains the same, at 210km/h (130mph).

Brabus paid extra care to the exterior design of the G-Class, which has a new carbon hood, complete with a functional scoop that actually cools the engine, and other parts made from carbon. Optimizing the illumination on the road are two sets of twelve LEDs, and just in case you’ll find yourself stranded in a very dark place, the auxiliary lights should come in handy.

The SUV gets a selection of 20- to 23-inch wheels, with the most exclusive ones being called ‘Brabus Platinum Edition’, shod with 305/35 Continental, Pirelli or Yokohama tires.

With the Brabus-tuned Mercedes-Benz G500, you won’t disturb your neighbors, as the new stainless steel exhaust system with actively controlled flaps and two chrome tailpipes on each side features a ‘Coming Home’ mode.

For the right sum, the tuner will upgrade the cabin, too, offering a selection of leather and Alcantara trim tailored to customer preferences. Wood and carbon fiber elements are present inside as well, joined by scuff plates with a backlit Brabus logo and aluminum pedals.
