Sri Lankan Navy on Saturday detained a group of Indian Tamil fishermen, for allegedly straying into Sri Lankan waters.
The authorities apprehended 27 fishermen along wit their four boats off Delft island.
The investigation into the matter is underway at Karainagar, the north of the island nation.
