LUCKNOW: A 22-year-old married woman was found hanging in Mahigava village under Itaunja police station on Friday.
The woman’s family has alleged that she was being harassed by her husband and in-laws for
dowry and accused them of murdering her.
The victim has been identified as Anamika Mishra and her husband as Om Narayan Mishra alias Deepak. “The body, which was found hanging inside the locked room, had no injury marks,” police said.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot, police added.
A case under IPC sections of subjecting a woman to cruelty by husband or his relatives and
dowry death has been registered.
