MYSURU: Krishnaraja MLA
SA Ramadas has taken up several initiatives to see that those taking the
SSLC exam from his constituency, secure 100% result.
Ramadas told TOI that he has decided to go all out in his effort to see that those studying in Class 10 in his constituency clear the exam successfully. “I aim to see that all students clear the SSLC exam. For this to become a reality, most of the schools did not have classes on Saturday, so it was decided to conduct yoga every Saturday in all government and private schools,” he said.
We will also teach students the importance of meditation, provide free English learning and computer awareness. If schools lack basic infrastructure facilities, we will try to provide it free of cost. Physically and mentally, all children will be groomed to achieve 100% results, added Ramadas, who is keen to improve education in his constituency, which has more than 100 schools, including government schools.
The MLA’s team will keep a tab on students’ performance and by January, and if they are found to be weak, special classes will be planned. Ramadas entrusted this responsibility to Srihari Dwarkanath, the founder of GSS Srihari Dwarkanath, who was instrumental in getting all yoga centres on one platform for International Yoga Day celebrations.
Mamatha, DDPI, Mysuru, welcoming the initiative, said, “It’s a good initiative on the part of the elected representatives. We need to appreciate his concern towards education. He has also brought to our notice various programmes which he had planned for students of his constituency.”
In 2016-17, Mysuru was ranked 21st with overall pass percentage of 72, while in 2018, it not only improved its ranking to 11 and pass percentage to 83.3.
