Clear Sheila’s surgery files at earliest: Kejriwal direct officials

Delhi Chief Minsiter Arvind Kejriwal on Friday has directed all officials to clear all documents at earliest for the operation of Congress leader Sheila Dikshit. Dikshit  is expected to leave for France next week for her aortic valve replacement  surgery. Dikshit is expected to leave for France next week for an aortic valve replacement surgery, scheduled for August 14.

Interestingly, both the leaders were caught in a bitter political battle during assembly elections in Delhi in 2013.

But keeping political ideologies aside, the CM office has rushed to clear the case for Dikshit. The former CM approached Delhi government via a one-page letter asking it to “peruse the documents and process them at the earliest”.

The letter stated that her case was examined by the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. The hospital has advised her to undergo surgery at a reputed hospital in France's Lille.The government formed an expert committee which cleared the documents. Medical bills will be reimbursed upon return. Expenditure is likely to hit over Rs 20 lakh.
