Rain, thundershowers expected in parts of Delhi today

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35° Celsius and 27° Celsius respectively over the next few days.

Light to moderate rainfall accompanying by thundershowers are likely to occur in various parts of Delhi-NCR, said an official from the Regional Meteorological Centre.

According to the meteorological (MeT) department, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35° Celsius and 27° Celsius, respectively, over the next few days.

“Thundershowers are expected across the capital on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are slated to be around 35° Celsius and 27° Celsius, respectively,” said an official from the Regional Meteorological Centre.

“Throughout the week, the skies are expected to remain generally cloudy for the first three days of the coming week, while scattered rain is likely to occur in some parts of the city,” an official from the Met department said.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather conditions prevailed in the national capital on Saturday. The humidity levels oscillated between 97 %and 63 %throughout Saturday. The minimum temperature on Saturday was 27° Celsius, a degree above normal.

The brief spell of rain on Friday added to the humidity with the mercury settling at 35.3° Celsius, which is a notch above the season’s average, the weatherman said, on Saturday.

The Safdarjung observatory recorded 45.4 mm rainfall overnight, while the Palam observatory recorded 0.6 mm rain.
