THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Kamal Hassan will contribute Rs 25 lakh to the disaster relief fund of Kerala chief minister. As per the request of Kamal Hassan, Tamil channel Vijay TV has also decided to contribute Rs 25 lakh to the CMDRF. Pinarayi Vijayan thanked Kamal Hassan for the gesture. Kamal has also appealed to workers of his party and his fans to contribute generously to CMDRF.
Tamil actors Surya and brother Karthi have also promised Rs 25 lakh to the CMDRF.

On Saturday, several Malayalam film personalities appealed to the public to donate to CMDRF. Actors Mammootty and Mohanlal shared the appeal through their social media pages. Mammootty visited the rehabilitation camp at Puthenvelikkara in Ernakulam on Saturday evening and interated with inmates there. Mohanlal also shared the visuals of territorial army battalion engaging in relief operations on his Facebook page.
Actors Manju Varrier, Prithviraj, Jayaram, Sobhana, Amala Paul, Ashique Abu, Navya Nair and Asha Sharath have issued appeal on their social media pages to support the people affected by flood.
The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists has contributed Rs 10 lakh to CMDRF the other day.
