Alia Bhatt off to Bulgaria to reunite with Ranbir Kapoor for Brahmastra, see pics

Alia Bhatt was spotted at the Mumbai airport, heading off to Bulgaria, where she will reunite with the cast and crew of her upcoming film, Brahmastra, which also stars her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.

Several pictures and videos of the actor were shared online on Bollywood fan accounts. In the pictures, Alia can be seen wearing a black denim tracksuit, with her hair left open. She is carrying a bright red tote bag. She even stopped for a moment or two and waved at the present paparazzi.

Alia had returned to India for a short break, while Ranbir and Amitabh Bachchan stayed back. Amitabh recently rushed back to India after his daughter Shweta’s father-in-law Rajan Nanda, passed away.

While details about Brahmastra have been few and far between, Ranbir recently spoke to Mid-Day about the movie and denied that it was a superhero film. “It is actually a supernatural romantic fairy tale at heart. Ayan will never make a character that doesn’t have truth to it, or which is unbelievable. It’s too early to talk about the film, but it is something I am terribly excited about,” he said. “Apart from being my best friend and my favourite director, Ayan has worked on this film for six years. He is going to spend the next 10 years of his life on this trilogy. So when the first part is complete, the audience will know it’s not the end. That is something really exciting for me as an actor,” he said.

The first schedule of Brahmastra was completed a while back in Israel.

“It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit,” Ranbir had said in an interview to GQ about his relationship with her. However, Alia has still not spoken publically about their relationship but has accepted in an interview that she had a crush on him.
