JSPL celebrates OP Jindal birthday

The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) celebrated OP Jindal Group founder Om Prakash Jindal’s 88th birth anniversary here on Tuesday with several social welfare programmes led by Angul Executive Director (I/c) and Location Head Atul Misra.

A voluntary blood donation camp was inaugurated by Misra organised by the JSPL Foundation. A total of 96 units of blood were collected.

Besides, OP Jindal Angul Cup Football tournament was organised by the foundation which was inaugurated by Angul SP Mitrabhanu Mahapatra at the Angul Stadium. A total 12 teams from different parts of Odisha participated.

Two scholarship programmes, OP Jindal Star and OP Jindal Jewel, were also launched by the JSPL Foundation for economically weaker meritorious students from the vicinity area of JSPL’s operations across India.

Staff members and students of DAV-Savitri Jindal School, OP Jindal School at Jindal Nagar and OPJCC at Angul also paid their respect to the revered soul. At Bhubaneswar, all the staff members paid their floral tribute to OP Jindal in a special gathering.

Senior officials and employees of JSPL with their family members and people from the local community paid their floral tribute to OP Jindal.
