Two labourers were killed and ten others were injured after their vehicle overturned near Kallaje village on the Uppinangady-Subrahmanya state highway on Thursday. The Kadaba police have identified the deceased as Chinnamma, 55, and Harish, 30.
The police said the labourers were going from Mardala to Subrahmanya and the driver lost control over the vehicle and it overturned. Geeta, who had serious injuries, was admitted to a private hospital in Puttur. The police added that Kiran, Janaki, Vishwanath, Nitesh, Hemavati, Raju, Bhavith, Naveen and Muthappa had minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital.
