Mexico to build seaweed barriers to protect beaches

A Mexican environmental agency has said that is constructing barriers at just beyond its famed beaches to decrease the huge amounts of washing up onshore.

Alfredo Arellano Guillermo, chief for Quintana Roo state, said yesterday he hopes to have the anti-sargassum structures in place by next week.
