Quake felt in several parts of State

A mild earthquake was felt in several regions of Odisha in the wee hours of Thursday, the Regional Meteorological Centre here said.

Slight tremors triggered by the earthquake, which had its epicentre at Angul, were felt in Boudh Sadar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal Sadar, Nayagarh and Angul at 3.03 am.

The magnitude of the earthquake, having a depth of 10 km, was measured 3.6 in the Richter scale. While the intensity of the quake was ‘light’ in Angul, it was ‘weak’ in Boudh Sadar, Cuttack, Dhenkanal Sadar and Nayagarh. No casualty or loss of property was reported.
