PANAJI: Chief electrical engineer N Neelakant Reddy has been granted another extension in service for three months with effective from August 1. Earlier, Reddy was granted extension for one year on superannuation last year even as Goa Government Employees Association had strongly opposed his service extension.
Reddy’s appointment as chief electrical engineer was also challenged before the high court last year. Then officiating chief electrical engineer Laxmikant Kolvekar had moved the court after he was relieved, and Reddy was appointed.
