These Huawei smartphones will get Android Pie update soon

NEW DELHI: Earlier this week, Google announced the roll out of Android 9.0 Pie, the next version of its Android operating system. The smartphone makers are now gearing up to roll out Android Pie update on their smartphones. Recently, Chinese smartphone Vivo announced that it will offer Android Pie update to its smartphones by end of this year and now Huawei has also decided to follow.
According a report by MyDrivers, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has confirmed that it has started testing Android 9 Pie for its smartphones. Huawei's president of mobile division has revealed that presently the manufacturer is testing Android P for Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Huawei P20, Honor 10, and Honor V10 smartphones.
The report further adds that the company has also started internal testing of the update, so presently no beta program is available right now. Along with this, the company is also speculating on bringing Android 9 Pie to its other smartphones as well.
Recently, Vivo and HMD Global also revealed their plans of rolling out Android Pie update to their smartphones. It was reported that Vivo will roll out Android Pie update for its Vivo Nex and Vivo X21 smartphones.
According to a report by Android Authority, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo has said that its consumers will be able to experience Android Pie on their Vivo smartphones by the fourth quarter of this year.
On the other hand, HMD Global, the company that holds the license to manufacture Nokia smartphones, has announced that it has started rolling out Android developer preview build - DP4 (Beta 4) - for the Nokia 7 Plus.
With the latest beta, Android P gesture controls will be enabled on the Nokia 7 Plus, allowing users to switch quickly between apps using the new omnidirectional home button, as well as making split screen views simple to activate.
