Partnered with Smiles for Everyone Foundation, A+ Dental Care® Provider Helps Deliver Care to Over 550 Underserved Individuals in Paraguay

Last month, Dr. Tim Herman, Lead Dentist at A+ Dental Care in Roseville, CA traveled to Paraguay to deliver dental care in underserved communities surrounding its capital of Asunción. Along with a team of fellow Smile Brands Inc. affiliated colleagues and support staff, Dr. Herman volunteered his time to help deliver care to over 550 individuals in need.
Outreaches were held at schools, orphanages and community centers in the areas surrounding Asunción. Local Paraguayan dentists partnered with the team throughout the week, working side by side to deliver care late into each night. During the six days of outreaches, the local dentists were also trained on complex dental procedures and working with the portable dental equipment so they can continue to deliver smiles in their communities throughout the year.
This outreach was hosted by Smiles for Everyone Foundation (SFEF), a nonprofit with the mission to deliver smiles for everyone by providing free dental care to those in need, both at home in the US and around the world. In partnership with Diaconia, a local NGO with the mission to empower those living in poverty to live with dignity and freedom, the Smiles for Everyone Foundation has supported year-round dental outreaches in Paraguay since 2011.
Dr. Tim Herman is dedicated to giving back to his community, and also partners with the Smiles for Everyone Foundation to host Days of Giving at his offices, serving low-income individuals in the greater Sacramento area.
