Spells of light rain likely in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: Keep your umbrellas handy, Ahmedabad! Spells of light rain are likely to hit the city in the next days. Drizzles and light thundershowers will continue for the next three days, according to the forecast by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) – Gujarat. Light showers on Friday evening gave Amdavadis the reason to cheer after having almost lost hopes of further rain.

Rainfall occurred in many places in the districts of South Gujarat region and Kutch in addition to a few places in North Gujarat and isolated parts of Saurashtra region. There is no heavy rainfall warning across the state.

“The upper air cyclonic circulation continues to persists over south Gujarat region and also over the neighbourhood between 3.1km and 5.8km above the mean sea level. Light to moderate rain showers are very likely in the Gujarat region,” mentions the forecast by IMD – Gujarat.
