36 Year Old Rolls-Royce Driver Goes On A Rampage In Germany, Causes Two Accidents

High-profile accidents usually involve high-performance vehicles from Lamborghini or Ferrari, but the latest incident is a bit different as the driver was behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce.

According to a press release from the Dusseldorf police department, a “ruthless” Rolls-Royce driver caused a string of accidents and left two people seriously injured.

The vehicular mayhem reportedly started on the afternoon of August 8th, when the 36 year old Rolls-Royce driver was travelling on the A 59 towards Düsseldorf. When he approached the area where the A 59 connects with Bundesstraße 8 (Federal Highway 8), the driver suddenly stopped the car and began intentionally blocking two lanes of traffic. After bringing traffic to a halt for a little bit, the driver randomly drove off.

A short time later, the driver was on Bundesstraße 8 and was apparently involved in a road rage incident. Police say the driver “endangered” another motorist who was attempting to pass them. The exact details are unclear, but it appears the Rolls-Royce cut off the driver who was attempting to pass them.  Police said the other driver had to slam on the brakes to prevent a collision.

The unnamed driver then got off the Bundesstraße 8 and rammed into the back of a Skoda which was waiting at a red light. The 23-year-old driver and her 23-year-old passenger were seriously injured in the collision, but the Rolls-Royce driver simply took off.

Following that accident, the Rolls-Royce collided with a Ford and injured its driver. Police said this accident “evidently” broke an axle on the Roll-Royce, but the driver still managed to escape.

Police eventually caught up with the driver and they were reportedly trying to destroy evidence of the accidents. The police didn’t elaborate but, oddly enough, the driver didn’t have drugs or alcohol in his system.

Autobild reports the driver is now facing a long list of charges including fleeing the scene of an accident and grossly unlawful behavior.
