Between the large island of Phuket and the west Strait of Malacca coast of the mainland, the Phi Phi Islands are an island group in Thailand.
The Zeavola team made a large step forward with this new system in the sustainable operation of the resort. The Zeavola Resort is all set to make its own water using a Reverse Osmosis plant. To make sure an all year long production, the capacity of the already installed RO system had to be augmented. In addition, it was essential to install an additional RO system for a secondary cleaning process, to manufacture drinking water quality. To complete the process of a bottling plant together with required bottle washing facilities was put in.
After the process was completed, Zeavola waited for 12 more months to make certain that the water quantity and quality would obey with all necessary sustainable requirements. After making sure a consistent water quality and quantity, the big day had finally arrived and currently the water is served in reusable bottles meeting all criterions for a resource-saving operation. With the new system, the resort will keep away from the using 95,000 plastic bottles every year, which will have an important impact on the environment and the Phi Phi Island Marine National Park. It is certainly a big step towards a more sustainable operation of the Zeavola Resort.
