Of late, there has been much talk of Mira Rajput, the pretty wife of Shahid Kapoor, making her acting debut. While a film debut is still a faraway idea, she has made her ad film debut. The celebrity wife shared the video on her Instagram account on Tuesday in which she can be seen advertising an anti-aging cream.

Sharing it, she wrote: “Being a mother doesn’t mean you stop being yourself right? I took the #Olay #SkinTransformation #28Daychallenge Here’s my #Reborn story.. what’s yours? @olayindia.”

In the video, she talks of how after childbirth, her skin has suffered. She says, “I’ve always been a very hands-on mom, so you tend to forget yourself as a woman. The stress, the sleepless nights - my pregnancy glow just vanished.”

However, the video hasn’t gone down well with people on social media. Mira was heavily trolled for endorsing an anti-aging cream in her early 20s and for her ‘fake acting’.

An Instagrammer asked her to “... take care of your puppy (daughter) first And fix your double standards” while another stated “she’s literally 23 why does she need olay”.

Some asked her “If at 23 you need Olay @mira.kapoor then what will you use at 40?”

Yet others called out to her saying that she was hungry for publicity. One wrote: “Hungry for publicity !! Better be at home , acting is not your cup of tea!!”

However, amid all the trolling that Mira was attracting, husband Shahid Kapoor was over the moon. Commenting on the video, he wrote: Who’s this stunner?”

Star kids following their famous parents’ footsteps (mostly into acting or celebrityhood in general) have, of late, been at the receiving end of a lot of online rage. Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana’s Vogue cover photoshoot and video came in for heavy trolling with Twitter wondering what had she achieved to deserve a cover spread. Meanwhile, for quite another reason, Shweta Bachchan Nanda’s first ever ad with dad Amitabh Bachchan, was criticised by the banking community, for what they felt, was an incorrect representation of their work. The Kalyan Jewellers ad was subsequently withdrawn.
