Bhopal: Kamal Nath along with other Congressmen will file a complaint related to bogus and fake voters to Chief Election commissioner of India, in New Delhi on August 9. The issue of fake and bogus voters is not over yet in MP, the revised electoral roll, published recently by office of chief electoral officer in MP on July 31, claims that around 25 lakh voters did not exist in the state.
Earlier Congressmen have approached election commission of India (ECI) with a complaint that around 62 lakh fake and bogus voters are present in the electoral rolls in MP. The issue was highlighted after electoral rolls were first published in the month of January 2018.
Now, on August 9 the Congressmen will raise their objections related to new names that have been added to the list. The state election commission have got 11.40 lakh applications seeking addition of names in the voters list. Congress’ another objection is that there around 10 lakh applications from the voters who have shifted or migrated. The party is suspicious about migrants concerned.
Congress leaders are also having objections related to unedited format of electoral rolls provided by the state election commission. It is demanding the data in a soft copy. The reason behind demand is to check data with the help of software, in order to find out repeated and manipulation in the list.

“Earlier a news channel have conducted a survey in which we had got more 14 percent of votes and that survey was done by a government funded organisation CSDS”, Kamal Nath raised question mark on the online survey and asked that how many people are using internet and how many are aware of the online survey. He also claimed that no untoward incident had occurred with the state in-charge Deepak Babaria in Vidisha, “It was over enthusiasm of the workers which lead to some disturbance, later the meeting was conducted in a peaceful manner.”
He added that, “When I was union transport minister I had allocated maximum budget to develop roads in MP,” said Nath. He stated that the CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan have accepted his contribution and had thanked him in the state assembly. “Whatever funds I secured for the development of MP is on records and whatever amount I got for the development of Chhindawara was my duty”, he informed.
