AFL confirms live trading this season
Live trading of picks has officially been introduced by the AFL and will kick off this year in November's national draft.
The Age can confirm that clubs received word from the AFL on Wednesday that picks will be able to be traded by clubs when the trade period begins on October 5 all the way through until the end of the draft, which will be held over two days on November 22 and 23.
It's also understood that the draft will be held at Etihad Stadium and not in Tasmania.
The AFL pre-season and rookie drafts will also be held on the final day.
