A triple pontoon luxury boat and an AC bus boat have joined the fleet of the Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) water sports.
Encouraged by the increase in the tourist footfalls, the APTDC has now focussed on expansion of the activities in Krishna. Speed boats, floating restaurant and now the exciting new additions will enthral the local crowd before the river hosts the ultimate water sport — the F1H2O International Power Boat Championship in the next few months. The two new boats will be anchored at the Punnami ghat from where visitors can set out to experience 15-minute adrenaline rush. The body of the 30-seater bus boat is made of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) and covered with transparent glass that allows the rider to enjoy the scenic beauty of the river. The ride would cost an adult ₹160 and ₹130 per child.
Group rides
The triple pontoon is a 12-seater with fare ₹120 per head and ₹100 for children, including the GST.
The APTDC offers group rides for ₹7,000 plus GST in the bus boat and for ₹5,000 plus GST in the triple pontoon boat.
