MUMBAI: In her bail plea moved before the sessions court, the defence advocate of salon employee, Khushi Sahjwani (42), accused in the murder of co-worker Kirti Vyas (28), raised doubts about the accuracy of DNA reports submitted with the charge-sheet. Police said DNA from the blood recovered from the car, in which the victim was allegedly murdered, matched a sample from her parents.
Sahjwani’s defence submitted that it did not match with Kirti’s father. The prosecution alleged that Kirti was killed by colleagues Siddhesh Tamhankar (28) and Khushi. The defence said the witness statement showed someone saw a similar person on a train till Dadar. The prosecution said Kirti was strangulated in the car with a handkerchief.
