Gang of youths throw rocks, damage police car in Melbourne's north-west

A large group of young people gathered in Melbourne's north-west have thrown rocks and damaged a police car.

Police say the group have gathered in the Taylors Hill area.

"A number of projectiles, believed to be rocks, have been thrown and a police vehicle has been damaged," a police spokeswoman said.

"No one has been injured. Police are currently patrolling the area and monitoring the situation. No arrests have been made at this stage."

The youths dispersed and were moved on from the area a short time later.
