Two people who went to pay their last respects to DMK leader M Karunanidhi reportedly died of the injuries they sustained in the melee that ensued after heavy crowd congregated at Rajaji Hall in Chennai on Wednesday noon.

The deceased have been identified as Shenbagam (60) of MGR Nagar and an unidentified male. Forty-One persons were admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital with minor injuries, hospital authorities said.
