Following the major outbreak by DMK party supporters, Traffic Ramasamy on Wednesday withdrew his petition in Madras High Court.
The advocate appeared for Traffic Ramaswamy reportedly stated that they don’t have any objection in granting permission for the burial of the late DMK supremo M Karunanidhi.
After arguments continued well past midnight at acting Chief Justice HG Ramesh’s residence, the hearing started at 8:30 am on Wednesday.
The government side was represented by senior counsel CS Vaidyanathan and additional advocates generals R Rajagopal and Arvind Pandiyan and DMK represented by senior counsel Viduthalai were arguing the case
Eminent lawyer Doraisamy who had moved four petitions challenging the construction of a structure behind Jayalalithaa’s final burial site, appeared before the first bench before midnight and informed his decision to withdraw the cases filed by him.
