Karunanidhi laid to rest with full state honours at Marina Beach
Source: TNNAs tens of thousands of greiving supporters watched, DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi was buried at the Marina Beach in Chennai. After leaders of various political parties had paid their tribute, family members paid last respects to the departed soul. Alagiri, Stalin and Kanimozhi were at Marina to pay their last respects. Thereafter the casket was lowered in the grave. The DMK leader was given a 21-gun salute. Hundreds of security personnel were deployed at Marina Beach to control the crowd.
