Karunanidhi's mortal remains kept at Rajaji Hall for homage

Former and (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi's mortal remains have been moved at in Anna Sala on Wednesday morning.

Former All India Anna (AIADMK) leader T. T. V. Dhinakaran and Actor-turned-politician also paid their homage here.

Prior to this, the mortal remains of Karunanidhi was kept at his Gopalapuram residence and was later taken to his daughter Kanimozhi's residence in CIT Colony for the homage.

The 94-year-old passed away on August 7 after He will be accorded with the state funeral later in the day. However, the place of his burial has not yet been confirmed.

Soon after Karunanidhi's demise, many political leaders including Narendra Modi, and chief ministers of various states expressed their deep grief and extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
