Dehradun: 300 families stranded as Song water floods village
Source: TNNThree hundred families in Gauri Mafi village were left to fend themselves after heavy rains flooded the area for the last five days. Gauri Mafi village is located on the outskirts of Dehradun and is flanked by river Song and river Ganga on two sides. River Song is in spate after continuous rain in the area. SDRF team is carrying out the rescue operation with a single raft. Due to single raft available, SDRF team rescues only three person at a time. Only 150 people have been rescued from the village with 1200 residents.
