Bowler's unsportsmanlike conduct doesn't allow batsman on 98 to score century

Jay Darrell, a batsman from Minehead CC, was on 98 and eyeing his maiden ton, however, the bowler threw the ball over the boundary ropes, conceding a no-ball.

In what can be known as a shameful act in sports, the biggest disregard to a player or the sport is by behaving in a repulsive and obnoxious manner and such an incident occurred when a bowler did not allow a batsman to score his maiden century. 

This incident happened in a Somerset Cricket League match in England between Minehead Cricket Club and Purnell Cricket Club. Jay Darrell, a batsman from Minehead CC, was on 98 and eyeing his maiden ton, however, the bowler threw the ball over the boundary ropes, conceding a no-ball.

Not only did his team lose the match in an appalling manner, but also denied the batsman from scoring his maiden century in the league. Darrell, however put up a brave face as he celebrated his team's win. 

The incident has left many players enraged and offended. Angus Marsh, a player from Minehead CC, took to Twitter and dubbed the incident as 'the worst cricket moment of my life'.

English celebrity Piers Morgan also took to Twitter to express his shock in the turn of events. 

Former cricketer Rob Key who was on air for the Nottinghamshire's T20 match against Worcestershire for Sky Sports, slammed Purnell's bowler for his shameful act. 

Batsman Jay Darrell didn't make an issue out of the matter and was happy for the team's win.

The Purnell Cricket Club issued a statement as well on the matter and promises to take strict action for breaching the rules and the spirit of the game.
