2 minor girls flee Child Care Home in Raipur

Two minor girls have fled from  ‘Sankalpa Bal Ashraya’ based at Devendra Nagar locality on Sunday night.

The inmates managed to remove the window grill for escaping from the Child Care Home.

Station House Officer (SHO), Devendra Nagar, S.N. Akhtar informed that two minor girls of age around 17 years fled from Sankalpa Bal Ashraya, situated at Devendra Nagar locality.

The Child Care Home was earlier situated at Shankar Nagar locality from where it was shifted to Devendra Nagar only a couple of days ago, he said.

It is the same Child Care Home from where three boys fled around a fortnight ago, he informed. One of the girls was a resident of Telibandha locality of the state capital while the other hailed from Champa region, the official informed.

They ( minor girls) broke the grill of a window to escape from there, he said. Police had registered a case and is in search of the children, he said.

Taking cognizance over the matter Chairman, Child Protection Commission, Prabha Dubey visited the Child Care Home on Monday and took note of the incident.

Earlier too, when three minor boys fled, she had inspected the Child Care Home and had submitted the report to the District Collector recommending action.
