Parents bury five-year-old daughter alive for ritual in UP's Moradabad

MORADABAD: A couple in Moradabad allegedly buried their five-year-old daughter alive after starving her for five days after they were told by a tantric to do this in order to have a healthy baby.
Police said that the crime was committed on Friday evening at, one Anand Pal’s house at Chaudharpur village On Saturday, a neighbor informed police about his suspicion that a crime had been committed.




A police team visited Pal’s house and the body of the girl, Tara, was found buried inside. Post-mortem report indicated that Tara had been kept without food or water for five days before being buried.

On Sunday night, Munan filed an FIR against Pal and his five-months pregnant wife Meena, who was also Tara’s stepmother. Moradabad senior superintendent of police J Ravinder Goud told TOI, “We are investigating allegations of tantrik rituals at the house.”
