ALLAHABAD: Irked over the delay in execution of projects, chief minister
Yogi Adityanath ordered to lodge cases against the company engaged in construction of Sewage Treatment Plant at Deenapur and cleaning of Shahi nala. He warned that any laxity at any level in execution of development work would not be tolerated.
After attending the renaming function of Mughalsarai station into Pt Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, the CM held a meeting of the officials at the circuit house on Sunday evening to review the progress in various development projects. Taking a serious note of poor progress in the construction of the Rs 18,648 lakh project of 140MLD STP at Deenapur, he asked the general manager of
Ganga Pollution Control unit of UP Jal Nigam to lodge an FIR against the company engaged in this project.
The CM also asked similar action against the company engaged in cleaning of
Sahi Nala for delay in work completion despite given extension in the dedaline. The project manager of Ganga Pollution Control unit was asked to work on war footing to complete the projects at the earliest. He also reviewed other projects like construction of STP at Goithaha, water treatment plant at
Sarnath, underground wiring under integrated power development scheme (IPDS), and sanitation.
Responding to the CM's instruction, the Ganga Pollution Control Unit of UP Jal Nigan has served notice to the companies engaged in these projects. However, FIR has not been lodged so far. Notices were served to the companies for laxity in work, general manager of Ganga Pollution Control Unit SK Rai told TOI on Monday.
