GURUGRAM: A man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly beating his
girlfriend at a restaurant in Palam Vihar. An argument broke out between the couple over the issue of marriage while they were eating at a Dominos Pizza outlet in Sector 22 on Sunday. The girl filed the complaint on Tuesday and the police arrested the accused.
According to the police, the
woman (26) lives and works in Noida with a garment manufacturer. In her complaint, she stated that on Sunday afternoon, she was with the accused in Sector 22 market. The accused was identified as Manish Sutrakar (28), who lives in Sector 23 and works with a renowned cellular company here. “I have known Manish for the last three years as we were working together in Gwalior. Some time ago, I got a Job in Noida and shifted here. Soon after, he found a job in Gurgaon and shifted here. On Sunday, while we were eating, I asked him about our marriage. He got angry during the conversation and started slapping me continuously and then fled away leaving me behind,” the girl said in her complaint.
An FIR was registered against the accused at the Palam Vihar police station. He will be produced in a city court by Wednesday, police said.
