J&K: Excise department seized 1400 kg of poppy husk from Kathua district
Source: TNNA huge consignment of 1400 kg of poppy husk has been seized in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir by the officials of Excise department. The excise department and the Police seized a total of 1400 kg of poppy husk from a truck assumed to be carrying fresh fruits as goods at Toll Post Lakhanpur. A Case has been registered under Section 8 and 15 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS). The vehicle was coming from Kashmir. Investigation in the matter is underway.
