On the occasion of second “somvari” of the famed Shrawani Mela, Chief Minister Raghubar Das lauded district administrations of Deoghar and Dumka for making the massive event comfortable and smooth for devotees.

The CM, while interacting through video conferencing with kanwarias thronged to Deoghar on the occasion on Monday, also told the local officials to maintain the facilities and amenities like before.

“The district administration is working with full commitment and promptness for welcoming the kanwaria and they should do the same in the days to come. The Government is committed to provide all the facilities to the devotees coming here from all over the country and even from abroad. If there is any shortcoming you feel free to lodge complaint on @dasraghubar on my twitter handle,” said the CM in the course of the conversation.  He terming the Babadham temple a pride for not only Jharkhand but for the entire country expressed his commitment to develop Deoghar as world class tourist destination. Besides Deoghar he also enquired about facilities being given at Sultanganj, Basukinath and other places related to the month long religious mela.

Devotees on their part praised wholeheartedly the amenities in terms of law and order, sanitation, pathways, lighting, food, resting, drinking water etc in comparison to the last 14 years which, they claimed, have made their pilgrimage comfortable and sound.

Ranjeet Singh of Sonbhadra district was among the many, who interacted directly with the CM and praised the arrangements made. Similar were the views of Kishan Kumar Gupta of Gazipur who thanked the administration and organisers for making his stay at Deoghar comfortable.

Large number of devotes from Nepal have also come to Deoghar to offer respect lord Shiva. One among those was a lady who also lauded the arrangements over there and congratulated the State Government and administration.
