The Department of Infrastructure & Investments has received an overwhelming response for the development of greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram as 13 national and international agencies took part in the pre-bid meeting held at Visakhapatnam on Monday, according to a release.
Principal Secretary, I&I Ajay Jain said all the 13 agencies were taken to the field at Bhogapuram. The agencies are expected to submit their responses to the Request for Quotations by September 10.
The 13 agencies are: Ramkey, Do IT, ESSEL, GVK, GMR, ADPI (France), NIIF (with Fraport), Oberoi, AE COM of America, BIAL, Reliance with Zurich Airport , Italy Group (EPC and minor stake in Airports) and Nellore International Airport Private Ltd.
On the Nellore (Dagadarthi) aiport, Mr. Ajay said it will be low-cost one coming in first of its kind public-private partnership in 1,352 acres at a cost of ₹368 crore by 2020.
