‘K’mal Excise Super harassing staff’

Excise Superintendent office staff on Monday sent a memorandum to the Excise Commissioner through Collector Dr Brunda D seeking action against Superintendent Nalini Kumar Behera as “he is harassing them”.

They alleged that Behera has assaulted, rebuked and insulted them in public many times. Sub-Inspector Umakant Pradhan, Prakash Kumar Sa and Bipra Charan Mandal were humiliated by him, they mentioned.

Behera has illegal link with ganja mafia and is showing favour to liquor mafia, they mentioned.

In 2017, the Superintendent had suspended two Constables to save himself from ganja allegation.

They requested the Commissioner to transfer either him or all of them at the earliest.
